The change of the thermophysical features of the melt flow over a volumetric and locally heated substrate from a stationary pour device

Abstract

A new method for producing bimetal, which differs from the existing technology for sequential pouring of base metal and metal of the working part, is investigated. The new method consists in creating a highly concentrated energy source of a liquid bath on the surface of a cold metal base and further pouring prepared liquid melt into it.
